This new PR & Community Management degree is ridiculous. If you want to work in games you should simply do what the rest of us did and get hired because you're friends with someone despite not being qualified

It is, though it sucks when you're trapped outside and it's easier in certain industries for certain types of people to accidentally get preferential treatment over more qualified candidates because someone knows you, and people hire people they know / trust
