Can someone PLEASE explain to Reddit Gamers that most AAA games use a compression format that requires you upload the entire archive, so if you change something inside the 15GB archive you have to upload the entire 15gb archive even if you only changed 100mb worth of files?pic.twitter.com/3i2J2O6NIA

I'm glad I could help in a small way. I'm far from an expert on this - I bet there are some really interesting stories from the super smart compression/data engineers who figured this stuff out

I think scamming should stop in adopt me if we can trade bucks that would be cool and all but people are now scamming we should add a protection to every player there should be a trade area in adopt me and there should be a test area if you past the test you can enter

I don’t have this issue , I have a 1t console with a 2t external I’ve got about 150 games installed, if the game needs an update what can I do .. stop the download so I can’t play a game

Can someone please explain to AAA devs that I’ll accept 5% lower resolution textures in exchange for not having monolithic archives. Yes the gain is usually that small. Usually smaller, actually.

You are of course correct that monolithic archives are more efficient. But the gains are quite small. Not that I have any control over this because I’m just the consumer and the market doesn’t serve me, but IMO it’s not a trade I’m happy with, as the user.
