Does the subtle sexism in the game bother you? Isabelle rolls in to do conflict resolution and island decorating tips while Tom takes care of manly work, like construction. Is a male oriented character ever watering flowers or sweeping the plaza?
I saw Raymond watering my flowers yesterday, I think it's dependent on personality type or just random Isabelle's job aligns with her personality and older games. Tom Nook oversees construction but I doubt he's ever laid a brick or hammered a nail, probably pays people

I'm not claiming the game is some great bastion of gender equality, I haven't thought enough about it + I'm sure smarter people have. But gender neutral clothing and pronouns are pretty cool at least lol

Gender neutral pronouns, sure. But aren't you required to choose a gender at the start? I've been given a maids dress as a gift... twice. Also a Victorian dress and a skirt. Albeit, I was thrilled when I gave it to Teddy and he put it right on.pic.twitter.com/ntD7NEqL9B

I know there are other characters not on my island. Good to know that they can chip in to do the gardening & cleaning. My interpretation of Isabelle is probably clouded by the fact that I find her personality absurdly obnoxious. Anyway, thx for the reply.
