I miss brunch cocktails. I miss walking through the park at night to my favourite cash only takeout Chinese joint. I miss deciding on a whim to grab a coffee/beer with a friend. I miss choosing to "be sensible" and to stay in for once, because you can always go out next week

I miss taking the afternoon off and going to watch a film, any film, the cinema almost dead. I miss sitting down at my favourite restaurant and putting my phone away so I'm less likely to check it. I miss people, the endless bustle of people just going about their lives

I miss texting the group chat to let them know my train has been delayed, again! I miss commiting to holidays and booking tickets months in advance, not knowing what mood I'll be in when departure time arrives. I miss the joy of saying hello and the anxiety of saying goodbye
