Maybe watching it all sleep deprived didn't help, but I don't get why Devs is getting so much hype. Ok sure it's well produced, and it's trying to be super deep. But most of the story is quite predictable, and in my opinion a bit dumb. Ending was just meh for me.
I liked it a lot. It was what I expected from an Alex Garland TV show. The acting was really good and the questions of determinism raised made me think a lot, plus the tech was really cool

I don't know. I liked Ex Machina a lot more. This feels like it's trying too hard to be clever. And it's close some times, but then fail on certain plot decisions, imho. But yes the acting and production quality is good.

I loved Ex Machina, but in retrospect it also had some weird plotting (like the silly security system) - I think it's just less obvious in a feature length movie as compared to 7 episodes with room to breathe. Understand where you're coming from though
