No it actually wasn't, but damn they're similar! It's actually most inspired off an old movie I saw years ago (can't rmbr the name) the party anyways. The elevator just happens to be the same.
I was going to ask if you'd played Gravity Bone. You should play it (it's free) and also Thirty Flights of Loving, they're both exceptionally short and excellent games in this style

@6P_R0 posted I watched a playthough of gravity bone as it's quite short. I really like the vibe it was aiming for especially in the opening level. I think my game will end up a bit different, but I think you will absolutely see inspiration elements in the end product. -
