I actually enjoyed the Egg Day stuff last night on #AnimalCrossing, but sounds like a lot of folk... aren't?
I guess it's because it's early-game time still and folk didn't really want an event this early when they're busy getting their town started.
It's trash because they impacted existing mechanics. Nobody would care if it was a separate area you could fish for eggs, but in a game that's about catching fish and digging up fossils, like half the stuff you get is now eggs that craft things that nobody wants. It sucks!
