Definitely - it's mostly marketing managers at large companies paying sales people at events companies for Big Inflated Numbers they can shove in a marketing report to justify their yearly budget spend. I just feel bad for the small companies / studios who get sold a pipe dream

I hear you, but here’s a list of things we get from a physical event that we can’t get elsewhere: - both passive and active public (not QA) feedback for game design purposes - viral relationship building between our 3rd party devs and internal team - morale/ excitement boost

Last EGX we were able to facilitate the meeting of 2 devs who’d been working together for 8 years but had never met in person. That was cool IMO. Helps us communicate with everyone better too.
