I am enjoying Animal Crossing so far but the whole 'wait until tomorrow' stuff has gotten old immediately. Hate it.

I guess I've never really played a £50 console game that has such a heavy restriction. Normally this stunt in gameplay only appears in mobile games with stamina gauges or MMOs with insane grinding ya know?

The plataeu in content is one the main appeals. Unlike other games where you can endlessly grind and inevitably burn out or burn through all the content, Animal Crossing forces you to wait - not to squeeze you for revenue like many F2P games, but because that's the pacing

Each day you pop in, do your daily tasks, check what items are in the store, and then you can choose to play more if you want but there's a soft cap on what you can achieve in a given day. It's meditative, it becomes a daily habit as you slowly build up your house / village
