E3 doesn’t happen in July or Anaheim and the entire draw is having one place where the major outlets, devs and publishers will all be for a week. You don’t get that with Directs.
june and LA con center, my bad, but the point still stands. if E3 becomes a series of meetings in hotel bars with no live conferences and limited show floor present, that's the spirit of the event "dead" for most attendees + you'll see pubs/platforms/studios shift to other events
Gamescom is a great candidate for shifting resources as E3 continues to decline. it's huge, it has bodies, it's in central europe not the west coast of the US
