StS is more consistently winnable once you learn the tricks. My early tips (I'm not even that good) are: keep your deck as small as possible to increase chance of drawing good cards (remove Strikes at shops), relics are OP, if you can afford to do an Elite in f1 its worth it
the magic of slay the spire to me is finding that perfect combo of cards + relics that just feels great to execute, kinda like isaac or other games. feels so satisfying to remove bad cards and add good cards as you progress, making the combos even better
