also i'm grading resumes and cover letters today -- i'd really like to give my students some industry level feedback! so, folks in tech & games & adjacent -- what are some of the most egregious errors you've seen in resumes/cover letters, and what is something you'd love to see?

The best resumes are a story that describes a person's work experience and relevant education. Each listed job should have bullet points explaining what you achieved concretely (data helps) - "During my time as social media manager we grew the accounts by 300% YoY" etc
-
The best cover letters succinctly explain who you are, why you're good for this job AND why this job is good for you - it's a two way street. I'm disappointed at the number of candidates I interview who haven't done their research and haven't played our game :(
