UK tax question, anyone know why I would have an adjustment to my balancing payment for 18/19's tax as a self-employed person? Paid my tax back in April and have only just found out they added an 'adjustment' of £118. Will call them tomorrow but wondering if anyone has an idea

Either they found an error on expenses for incorrectly charged you NI maybe. It is weird though.

Yeah, I'm gonna question it because the amount calculated was exactly what I expected according to tax regulations, so an additional £118 is a surprise. Not the first time they've done something like this, I had an almost £2k charge reduced to £2 a few years back lol

It happens a surprising amount. You can ask James Wells on games slack for pro bono advice too, he helped save me £150 fine last year when I was broke for free
