Walking past the old General Hospital where my Nan passed away. It's now a luxury apartment complex called 'The General', cute. And all I can think is, I wonder which of these trendy apartments she died in? Did she stroke out in the bedroom of the penthouse with riverside views?

Same as my Nan’s old house the new buyers had ruined it , it was all brick the new people have painted it white and Stevie wonder could do a better job , it gives me closure that it’s not her house anymore

Yeah I'm not really bothered by it, it's just funny to me that these functional spaces where so much life, death happened are being systemically converted into expensive luxury housing. Beautiful old buildings with decades or even 100s of years of history strip-mined for capital

See it all the time with other buildings Highbury football ground listed building into flats but I see your point I wouldn’t want to live in a hospital
you never know who your going to wake up next to
it’s must be for the “affordable” housing the uk desperately needs
