Wouldn't saying a range also introduce some kind of negotiation anyway? If you say between 55k and 80k, the same issues are still relevant no? I see your point though, I've been thinking about doing it, but also don't want to create new problems.

Yes, there's still some negotiation but there's a clear top + bottom. So we can hire a more junior person at entry level, or if someone has a ton of exp we can offer them the top range. E.g our gameplay programmers are 70-110, and people who come in at 70 know they can get to 110
