Worth adding that, as always, this disproportionately affects women, gender minorities, people of colour, people with social anxiety or other mental health issues, and young people desperate to break into their chosen industries
There are so many tricks to get you to take less money or even work for free. Sometimes it's better to refuse a poor offer and wait for the next one, for freelance stuff they often use the promise of more work or claim it will be good for your portfolio.
