Just started watching Mr Robot (I know) and it’s a bit...4chan edgy, isn’t it. Hoping it gets better because not sure how many hours I can take of Rami Malik going on rants I’d think were cool when I was 14

It's worth finishing. Sam Esmail is an incredible director and unlike so many other shows, Mr Robot presents a fully realised 4 season vision mostly planned out from the start with excellent acting, cinematography, plot and pacing + some truly sublime single episodes of telly

Even when the series is at its worst, it's trying to be something, to do something, something not often seen on mass market mainstream "prestige era" telly. It's genuinely trying to do something different and even in the worst episodes (not even that bad) you respect it

Tonally it improves a lot by the way. It's hard to describe without spoiling, but in time the show critiques its own depiction of hacker era 4chan rebellion. Can't say any more than that. Feel free to DM me if you want to chat, the Reddit episode discussion threads are good :)
