Wouldn't the better solution be just... adding less Pokemon each generation? But make them more polished and marketable?
The newest set of Pokemon includes the highest number of new creative ones yet in my opinion. Every new Pokemon has an interesting design that makes me want to catch it - even the "standard" ones in the starting area are really interesting and polished
