TIL Taika Waititi scored the director gig on THOR RAGNAROK by basically sending Marvel Studios an Immigrant Song AMV using clips from various 80s movies, most of which he didn't have copies of and just pirated for it.
The suits liked it so much they were like "what's this song?" and immediately went about securing the rights to it lol, much to taika's surprise
