Just walked outside the house for the first time today. It’s hazy and smells like fire. I can hear fire trucks in the distance. This sucks on so many levels. The state I live in is now in an emergency state. Still barely anyone is talking about the Australian fires 
So horrible - I have family in Australia, thinking of you and them and everyone affected by this. Need urgent action ASAP across the world, this won't be the last of it

It's a tragic time over here in Australia. You really never know what could happen next. We thought for the longest time we were unaffected but not anymore.. Hope all of your family will be safe and let's hope and pray these fires can be controlled soon
