The reason I ask is I keep see people saying interaction is the future but i don't think it is. If I want to play a game, I play it, if I want to just have a stream on while doing something else or vegging... I want that.

Chat is addictive, especially on smaller streams where you can give valid advice or jokes - seeing them read and react to your comment feels good. Even better if you know the person irl
