Besides the fact it's common human decency, I genuinely believe that diverse teams do better work. Not just gender identity or sexuality or racial identity but also background, life experiences, personal beliefs etc that they bring to their work, directly and indirectly

Especially when it comes to education. It's exhausting for someone to have to explain their pronouns endlessly, or explain their appearance, or any number of things that make them "different." The company educating coworkers so that the individual doesn't have to is great
