Shout-out to when we were working an event and the person in charge of volunteer supplies told us to stop giving out so many bottles of water because the (unpaid) volunteers were drinking too much of it. We hid several pallets under a table for them
Volunteers at events work so hard for no money, the least you can do is give them free food and drinks. The job is often standing on your feet for long shifts with minimal breaks, having to smile and politely help attendees. Or better yet... pay them!
