Quick correction: the woman who refused to correctly identify her coworkers wasn’t fired. Her contract expired and was simply not extended due to the above and other issues.
If a contract employee refused to use their coworkers preferred names and pronouns, I wouldn't renew that contract either. Exactly the same as any other difficult to work with, problematic coworker. Brings morale of team down, makes everyone less productive and is not ethical

Nobody wants to work with assholes, especially transphobic or sexist or homophobic or racist assholes. I ask everyone how they feel about working in a diverse team in interviews, to give people who will break discrimination laws + code of conduct a chance to out themselves early
