it's year 3 of development, we made about 10k unique pixel art assets (including frame-by-frame animation of every character in the game) and maybe 10 of these are reusable. art has the most complex pipeline in our whole development process - and that's for a game with 100k words

should have just done photo-realistic 3d art tbh. all you need is to scan a racoon and some ducks, maybe a magnifying class and a trench coat, job done.
