I tweeted before half-jokingly that whenever someone does an interview on a podcast, they should have to say how they paid for their degree / afforded to live whilst breaking into their creative industry

definitely. I grew up in a single parent working class home and went to a rubbish school but even I've benefited from a lot of privilege, it's disingenous to let people think you got to where you were through hard work and talent alone

I feel you. Money and the ability to consistently earn money is a privilege, the ability to pass in current society unnoticed is a privilege. I can take more risks because of who I am and what I look like and my health but most of all, because I know I can always get another job
