      the article is a little misleading. You can't actually use paid currency in the casino at all, only money earned in game. The implication seems to be that adding casino = increased spend, but it's most likely all the other stuff they added for players to grind and buy

      In-game currency can be purchased via real money, right? Or am I assuming that incorrectly? GTA V is so heavily monetised, I don't really buy that the casino update would exist without potential for it to be monetised.

      In-game currency can be purchased with real money (shark cards) but that currency is invisibly flagged and can't be spent in the casino, it's like they split the money into two piles. You can only spend money earned in-game in the casino

      Fair enough - this is something I admittedly was not aware of, I assumed the casino was monetised in some way at least.

      Yeah np, most assume the same. To be fair they obviously use the casino as a bug fun activity to lure people into spending areas full of content they have to pay to skip grind to unlock

          Actually that’s bullshit, several people including NerdCubed tested this misconception. Shark card money can most definitely be spent in the casino.

          I'm a bit late to the party but depending on your country you won't be able to use shark card money in the casino. Also depending on your country the entire casino is outright banned.
