In-game currency can be purchased via real money, right? Or am I assuming that incorrectly? GTA V is so heavily monetised, I don't really buy that the casino update would exist without potential for it to be monetised.

In-game currency can be purchased with real money (shark cards) but that currency is invisibly flagged and can't be spent in the casino, it's like they split the money into two piles. You can only spend money earned in-game in the casino

Like, the actual money betting casino is just one part of the update. It also added a huge new property, vehicles, rotating items and memberships to spend money on. If you replace the word "casino" with "luxury hotel", it's no different than previous updatedpic.twitter.com/L8io8C7AnM
