Eh I still don't agree, there's other kickstarter funded games that did the same thing even before broken age did, which are remembered better too

Broken Age broke records to raise millions to revive an essentially completely dead genre. Nobody was funding point and click adventures because it wasn't 1998. It was a huge deal at the time, and helped popularised crowdfunding for surepic.twitter.com/fIjNSAQI4F

Yosh, I understood most of the decisions, but I don't know why BOTW (only reason someone gave was "Because it's BOTW"). Do you have a different view, why BOTW is justified in this?

I'm not sure, I'd be interested in reading the article myself to find out their reasoning. Maybe they're using it as the ur example for open world RPGs? maybe they think BOTW's cultural impact will be longer than other RPGs? honestly don't know
