      I'm not saying that Death Stranding is going to be bad but if I was confident in my game being great, it would be playable at shows like Gamescom, TGS and EGX. Has there even been any press hands on yet?

      For review though, right? The game is out in three weeks and there hasn't been anything in the way of hands on preview coverage AFAIK

      Nor I. But it's certainly with press now. There's something being shown at EGX but I can't imagine it's a game that can be shown off in 10-min bursts.

      True, but not letting folks get hands on is just a bit of a red flag for me. Same as release day review embargoes. Not always the case but it gives the impression you don't want people to know what your game is like for a long as possible

      I get the feeling DS isn't a game you can get a feel for in a show floor demo. Same for Star Wars Fallen Order, which is close to release and has still had no playable show demo.

      Both fair points, but we have also seen extended segments of gameplay for Fallen Order and *very* little of Death Stranding. Was EA even at EGX yesterday?

      They'd showed almost 2 hours of narrated gameplay footage at TGS https://youtu.be/2Hb-axBy7c0 , way more than Fallen Order I think the simpler answer is that the team, probably Kojima, wants people to go in blind
