My students often ask me what skills will help them in a job setting. Sometimes I tell them "get really good at spreadsheets." They think I am joking. I am 100% not joking.

Yes! Not as widely applicable, but knowing how to use Photoshop / edit images has been immensely useful across a variety of jobs. Being able to quickly edit a graphic, not rely on other people is like magic. Even less applicable, but video editing too
