Did my first YT copyright notice yesterday; against someone who’d posted the entire of @ComposerChapman’s wonderful soundtrack to YT and monetised it.

I have the most popular upload for the song in Kentucky Route Zero's third act uploaded on youtube, unmonetised. The composer contacted me asking about it, I said it wasn't monetised but even still I was happy to take it down if he wanted, he said nah, he's cool with it
sent before finishing, my bad, but basically: creators care a lot less when the person isn't literally making money off of their work lol, this uploader is a total tool

I feel there’s a difference between “uploaded one track” and “the entire album” too

Most bigger music publishers clamp down on any part of their music, even if not monetised. e.g. I posted on YT a 30 second vid of an app making my young godson look like he was wearing Iron Man’s mask. In the background you could hear Back In Black. Got taken down in <24hrs.
