so the game dev is telling me caring about their game isn't worthwhile? I feel it's a poor point to make in the overall message. I get it, they are a small team, money helps them live comfortably and make their art. "Don't be mad at me, be mad at ClImAtE cHaNgE" seems odd
They're saying very clearly that it's not worth getting Very Angry and Worked Up about a video game, which it isn't. Save your anger for things that actually matter. Feel free to politely criticise video games you dislike, but to get actually angry over games is really silly

"Games don't actually matter": My pitch to get people to care about my game Again, seems like a poor place to make that argument. Just say we're indy and would enjoy having money to live and create without fear of financial ruin. That's a perfectly sensible argument.
