Does anyone have simple cocktail recipes that don't require a lot of small amounts of unique / fresh ingredients? Old fashioned is one that's been doing me well for a while but I need to branch out.

I've got you fam, I'm in the same situation First, pick a spirit you like. Seems like you like whisky, that's a good start. You can look up simply whisky cocktails - with 1-2 extra ingredients you can make a sour, with mint you make make a julep. Swap for rum, rum old-fashioned

If you build up slowly you avoid wasting ingredients. So let's say you get a bottle of Gin, now you can make G+T. Buy some vermouth, you can make a negroni, plus some more whisky cocktails. Make simple syrup (super easy, recipes online) and have ice, you're an amateur bartender

solid gateway into bitter drinks too. I can barely drink sickly sweet sugary cocktails now, used to love them

also if your cocktail needs fresh ingredients - say, orange juice and peel, you can buy some oranges and that week also make something else orange related, like food or snacks. and herbs can be easily frozen - you can buy a thing of mint then bag and freeze it, just as good
