It’s pathetic of me, but when it comes to my own work I get a bit ground down by the tweet format of “OMG look at this art I found I’m crying” being more popular than “here is the thing I made and worked extremely hard on”.

I wonder if it's just luck? Like, if you do a tweet, it has a 1/N chance of vitality, so every time someone excitedly shares your work to their new followers, it increases the chance of any one of those tweets being viral, which will always more likely be someone else's than OP
