      I have a weirdly complicated relationship with my birthday. It kind of goes back to something my ex husband did, and was further compounded by a friendship issue I had last year.

      Growing up, I LOVED birthdays. My family is just really into them. I had some bitchin parties through my 20s. And I love doing the same for the people that I care about! Birthdays should be celebrated!

      My boyfriend asked me earlier this year what I was gonna do this year, but I just... I didn’t have anything. I didn’t care. So! He’s taking me away next weekend for a simultaneously awesome and relaxing birthday. I’m... really looking forward to it.
