Neat! Are you just offsetting each piece by a random angle and scale / distance based on distance from player root part?

Not random, but yeah scale, rotation and offset are based on player root part distance. A number ranging from 0 to 1 will be estimated for each part and transformation will be composed from it.

Thanks for replying, was thinking about doing something similar for build placement animations but in reverse. Need to break my meshes into smaller parts though
