Completely agree with this. We have NEVER used volunteers for ANY of our events, including Boxing, Football, Upload 2016 etc, despite being inundated with offers for each event. It's MUCH easier to manage staff when they are being paid than when they are not. I must admit I wasn't comfortable at all with the volunteer situation at Insomnia. They were worked harder than most paid workers and that never sat right with me.
