What are examples of multiplayer games that adults can enjoyably play with children? Or skilled players with unskilled players? Looking for examples where the players know each other (friends and family) and both genuinely like playing the game, on top of the social aspect.

Snipperclips, Overcooked, even Towerfall (skill based but even a randomly shooting player can win sometimes, and pretty strong rebalancing based on who’s winning/losing)

Wow, the first two make sense, but Towerfall surprises me! I wouldn't think direct competition would be a good fit for mismatched skill levels, but I suppose I have seen it work in 4-player mode with mixed skill levels. Have you had success in 2-player or larger groups?

Not with children, but I’ve had non-gamers in college play in groups of 4 and end up winning! I think it’s chaotic enough that even someone who can’t master the higher-level techniques still has a chance of winning sometimes

If one player is good, they consistently dominate, just like Smash. But you can put wacky settings on (just like items in Smash) to even the playing field
