The key lesson to take away from Apex Legends' successful launch is that if you have an audience and a way to reach them (like streamers, youtubers) you don't need 12+ months of hype, trailers, build up. Just make a dope game and put it in front of people to play

Now more than ever I believe in putting something playable in front of people as soon as possible. Whether that's early access, just one game mode, or a finished game, get it in people's hands, plan your marketing around that, erase speculation and let the game speak for itself
