There was this family on the flight i caught last night - a mother, 3 young daughters - that I can't stop thinking about. The mother sat in 1st class with one of her daughters while the other two sat in economy. Any help figuring the dynamic out appreciated

Mom has back problems, or something, or is extremely tired, etc. I think this literally happened once with me and mom once (though I was an adult man so obviously I gave her the upgrade) or maybe they did rock paper scissors

yeah, I'd be fine with my mum go in first even when I was a teenager. also you put 2 daughters in first, daughter 3 is gonna have the shittest time. at least there are 2 economy daughters there in solidarity

Yep and kids BARELY appreciate the difference between economy and first, it's mostly about legroom and back support and adult shit like that

idk, if mum picked me to go to first over my 2 siblings I'd never let them hear the end of it
