Roblox developers and contractors who use DevEx are used to the OBC requirement
When my team introduces contractors to Roblox, like sound artists & blender animators, we get the same question: "Why do I have to pay $20 a month just to get my paycheck?"

The DevEx fee is unnecessary. Roblox used to lock a bunch of other crucial dev features behind a pay wall, like requiring BC to have more than 1 place and Robux for thumbnails and icons. I agree, it seems like an unnecessary tax particularly for smaller creators. But I still think as someone earning a significant amount of money from the work of your team, you should probably just pay your contractors an extra 20 USD a month though if that's what it costs them
