Roblox developers and contractors who use DevEx are used to the OBC requirement
When my team introduces contractors to Roblox, like sound artists & blender animators, we get the same question: "Why do I have to pay $20 a month just to get my paycheck?"
Well... why? #RobloxDev
I mean, as their employer its really on you to figure out how to pay your contractors properly. You should factor in the additional 20 usd into their pay or pay them outside of DevEx But yes, the fee should be dropped

I end up walking to CVS and getting Roblox gift cards just so they can get their paycheck. As a team lead with over 20 contractors: I don't want to fill out tax paperwork for dozens of people. I want to focus on running my team and developing my game. Devex handles that for us.

Running a team means making sure people get paid properly. If you want the convenience of using DevEx, cover their DevEx fees. And tbh, filling out tax paperwork is part of running a team at scale, every other company using contractors has to do this
