I get what you mean, but it's more about long term strategy. In most of these types of games you're building a supply and then leveraging that supply to execute moves that inch you towards win conditions. But I fully appreciate how that might not be enough in the moment
for me there's something deeply satisfying about setting up a plan and then executing it over several turns. when you make that great play because you built the board in your favour, it's a different sort of satisfaction to other more direct games
