I'm making a conscious effort not to DM people about work outside of work unless it's urgent, because it's hard to force people not to check Slack when the notification pops. I think I'm happier now I don't constantly check Work Slack out of boredom / to stay constantly updated

It should be. There was plenty of time to plan and seek input from stakeholders. This has been an absolute shambles, and Sturgeon's job is also important - why should she have to cancel her meetings for a last minute BS shambolic government meeting? It's trash
