Because the last Diablo game was 6 years ago and the community is mostly PC, some console. To announce your next game as mobile is disappointing given 99% of the Diablo community dont play on mobile. Create games for your community, not a cashcow from the Asian market.

Yes, it takes resources. D3 is in maintenance mode. To announce prior to Blizzcon they had multiple projects in the work THEN to release a mobile game is a kick in the teeth because no Diablo fan wants to play a mobile version of it, only the Asian market will.

It doesn't "take resources" from PC to develop a separate mobile game. Its impact on any PC dev resourcing will be absolutely minimal (think marketing, comms, QA). I fully understand and empathise with your frustrations, but it doesn't take any significant resources
