This shouldn't happen. Is the cable detachable or built in? If detachable, try replacing. If built in, recommend a return - shouldn't be causing that much interference just by shifting the cable about (I have a pair of bayerdynamics DT 770 pro, very similar to the AT studio)

not anything mechanical just from it rubbing on my shoulder or whatever, not used to cables this thick
strange, I never have this issue even when the cable rubs against stuff
