I've learnt more applied mathematics in the past 2 weeks than I did in 2 years of A-Level. Though to be fair, I did skip a third of my lessons to go home and watch Jamie Oliver's 30 Minute Meals. At least, I think it was a third of my lessons, I skipped statistics

In sixth form (2 years, ages 17-18) my attendance rate was 66.7%. I remember vividly because my counselor told us that if it dropped below 66%, it would be an automatic penalty. So I intentionally kept it above - in a 3 lesson day you could bunk off 1 whole lesson with no penalty

Also in the first year, there was a loophole where you could sign yourself out of a lesson with no consequence by filling out a form at reception. It became such a problem they banned it in 2nd year, we should have never shared the secret!
