      Ngl i think its such an outdated tradition. I get that some jobs and situations require it and fair enough, but jobs where you work behind a desk and don’t meet clients or people from elsewhere and therefore dont need to make as much of an impression. Would make sense to be comfy

      given how many highly paid software devs / creatives are nerds dressed in t-shirts and jeans, it's pretty dumb to make assumptions about status based off clothes these days. literally anyone could be a millionaire founder / youtuber / etc
