I think some of the writing towards the start was a little lazy, and there’s a lot of continuity mistakes. But once you look past that it’s all good stuff 
Worth remembering that we don't know the "continuity mistakes" are mistakes. Would make sense to explain a reset at some point, because it's much more interesting to have stories set on an Earth that is not aware of aliens
I mean her hand slipping down the sofa and then being suddenly back on her stomach in the next shot is a mistake. So is Ryan holding a bike light in one shot when it wasn’t there before and then it disappearing yet again. It doesn’t ruin the story, just distracts me.
